I found a savings certificate from the 70’s that my grandparents left me, but the bank, Home savings and Laon Association in Mobile, Al, no longer exist! I’d really like to check on that account, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanx!

In California, you can look this information up on the Secretary of States website under unclaimed property, All you ned to do is enter your the name on the certificate in the search box & it will tell you if the certificate exists.

you can go to your State’s website for unclaimed funds. You would need your grandparents’ names and probably SSN to locate it, if it still exists.
