I know Washington Mutual has information on savings account tips for kids. You may want to check out their website for more information.

It depends on your location. The big banks usually have web sites that are kid friendly and will work with your kids. The smaller local banks don’t have the resources.
Congratulations, you will do something more valuable to your children’s future than you may ever imagine.
I recommend Washington Mutual…
Go to any bank. They’ll help you

i have my childs account set up through them and it works very well.
The best move is for you to find out is whether your present bank has been friendly and efficient to your own banking needs. If they does and if they offer children’s savings account, why not open one? Very likely the bank will also be as kind to your child in terms of their savings needs then you yourself may have experienced.
