Without having more information about your personal information, such as age, current income and other data such as risk tolerance, martial status, and demographics it would be very inappropriate for me or any other experience person to provide specific information in this type of media.
Vanguard enjoys a very fine and well earned reputation
With interest dropping savings account interest will always follow.
With bonds, as interest rates drop, the price of the bond should increase in value.
Yes there is risk with bonds. but if you want a better than average return you will have to take some risk
If you really feel uncomfortable, you can always sell the bond fund and go into a money market.
Remember if you are not comfortable in a stocl or bond, you’re best getting out of it. It’s better to sleep at night than worry all day.
Personally, I would rather have a bond fund than a savings account.
