I want to move to Japan in a few years (after I graduate college( and I want to open a savings account to save money just for Japan.

Sounds like a good idea I dont see why not.
Definitely a good idea to save for your goals. Save as much as you can and you’ll have a good time in Japan. I lived there for 6 years. Expect to spend $100/day going out for dinner (easily $30), drinks (easily $30-50), fun (karaoke-easily $30-50, movies-$20, etc.), transportation ($10/roundtrip on the subway, or easily $20-30 by cab, depends on where you’re going).
