Is It Common For Police To Retire In Their 30′s With Good Amount Of Savings?
Quite a number of policemen where my friend lives retire in their 30′s. And all have quite a sum of cash to buy new houses and do rather lavish renovations. She told me this is a common trend there because police work is rather lucrative?
I am a little worried if that is the case?

police if anything are underpaid for putting their life on the line. retiring at 30? I’d be concerned….something is being over looked!
I seriously doubt that. Even if these officers are being hired at the age of 22, they would need to work 20 – 25 years before they could retire.
My husband just turned 40 and has worked in law enforcement for over 15 years. He is in supervisory position and has a B.S. degree. Last year, because of a ton of overtime he made almost $80,000. He was young when he was hired and he is VERY well paid (compared to newly hired officers) but he won’t even be eligible to retire until he has served 25 years. Police work is not lucrative.
In California you must be age 50 to get your pension, most states require completing 25 or 30 years as a police officer.
Sounds like the cops had a good job on the side because cops don’t make that much money.
looks like you have issues with cops and Christians. who ticked you off?!
