I don’t know much about banks, and someone told me about the sovereign bank. I would like to know if is a good one, or opinions from other banks. Thanks!

The best place to open a savings account would be any FDIC insured bank that pays the most interest. The only other thing to consider is how near you are to the bank, since using a bank that is 100 miles away is inconvenient.
Its good to go with the big banks right now, i would go Bank Of America or Chase.
