Is There A Way To Find And Redeem Old Savings Bonds?

I lost the bonds in a move. Can I contact the treasury and get them redeemed without the hard copy?

    To replace a missing savings bond, or request its redemption, please complete form PDF 1048, available on the Bureau of the Public Debt’s web site.
