My Friend Is Putting His Savings Into Creating A Game Called “fasty The Groundmole”. How Do I Stop Him?

I told him that there was already a similar game to his called Sonic The Hedgehog, but he refuses to stop making it. He says that his game is better because it has better graphics.
How do I convince him that this is a stupid idea? Or am I the only one that thinks it stupid?
