My Wife And I Just Separated In Nc. Does It Matter Who Contributed How Much Into Our Joint Savings?

She claims that more of the seed money for that account came from her. I maintain that it does not matter. Once it was deposited into the joint account it became half mine and I am entitled to half the money. Who is right?
