Used to be HSBC direct and ING. but now with the economy as it is…the rates are alll not what they used to be…but still better than any local bank.
While the average rate of return for money market, and savings accts are around 1-2 percent. Look into high yielding checking accts…the qualifications are minimal and you can make 4-5% (all FDIC members). Go to checkfinders.com or type in: high yielding checking accounts….under search (i think the site is . highyieldingcheckingdeals). I just opened an acct with Valley Bank in Virginia yielding 5.01%.
