This is the year 2009. The benefit is no where near the inconvenience.

I agree. I complain every time we have to lose an hour.
I was just complaining to my family about this time change routine.
I can see it being a good thing in the old days, but we are in the 2 thousanths and have outgrown the need for changing the hour!
It is an inconvenience, to say the least! I couldn’t hardly get my kid out the door this morning for school because she was dragged out tired!

Exactly, Why must we change time? There is no need. Why can’t people just change what times businesses and whatnot open or any other time dependent activity. So a boss thinks it’s too early to be working because it’s so dark. Big deal. Just change the time you open during that portion of the year. No need to get everyone’s cycles out of whack.
If we could just leave it at this time for good it would be nice- I like having the extra hour of light at the end of the day rather the beginning.
idk…my science teacher said that its not necessary… its just something that someone created just so that afternoons have more daylight and mornings less. its no biggie so i don’t see why we need it

I could understand it if we lived in a deeply agricultural society. but we don’t.. and it’s still winter..
When we fall back in the fall, the bars are open an extra hour. Sorry, but that’s the only modern benefit I can see.
